SLEEPLESS IN LONDON
A MUSICAL version of the Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan movie Sleepless In Seattle is set to open in London with a socially distanced audience wearing masks.
Jay McGuiness and Kimberley Walsh head the cast of Sleepless, A Musical Romance with previews at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre from August 25, pending Government guidance. Audiences will be temperature checked be required to wear face masks
Producer Michael Rose, of Encore Theatre Productions, said: “Our story in Sleepless deals with mending something that is broken – it’s about putting a family back together after a loss – and we feel it’s time to do exactly that, ito start the healing process, that’s part of what we do in theatre.”

AGATHA’S STILL A LEADING LIGHT
AGATHA CHRISTIE’S famous whodunnit, The Mousetrap is to re-open in the West End this autumn.
The world’s longest-running play will resume its run at the The St Martin’s Theatre, London, on October 23 and producer Adam Spiegel says: “Agatha Christie is the best-selling novelist this country has ever produced. Her name being back up in lights in the West End, heralding the beginning of the end of a very dark time in the history of the theatre, means she will rightly remain one of the most celebrated figures in our cultural life.”

STILL PLANS TO TAKE THE RAINS
COMEDIAN Jason Byrne is taking a rain check on his new stand-up show Audience Precipitation.
The tour has been rescheduled for autumn next year and Jason says: “I was really looking forward to getting back on the road and see you all, but I’ll be back next year with all the fun. See you on the other side!”
