Video plea in hunt for walker
Woman last seen at caravan park
POLICE are asking the public to search outbuildings and check security cameras as officers continue to look for a woman who was last seen at a Carmarthenshire caravan park.
Susan Smith was last seen at 1.30pm on Saturday when she was walking in the Carmarthen Bay Holiday Village, near Kidwelly.
Yesterday, Dyfed-Powys Police said they were continuing to search for Ms Smith. On Sunday, the force carried out a major land and sea search, with the assistance of the Coastguard, RNLI and mountain rescue teams.
Ms Smith is known to walk along the beach to St Ishmaels and Ferryside.
She is described as approximately 5ft 2in tall, petite with shoulderlength blonde hair and believed to be wearing black jeans, a black fleecetype jacket and navy and grey walking boots.
Sergeant Fiona Phillips said yesterday: “The search is continuing today with specialist police officers making house to house enquiries in the Kidwelly, St Ishamels, Ferryside and surrounding areas. It is important that we build a picture of Susan’s movements after she was last seen on Saturday and I would appeal to anyone who believes they may have seen her to contact police.”
Sergeant Jess Jones said on Monday: “We are asking the public to check and review their private CCTV cameras, Ring video doorbells, GoPros, dashcam footage or any other source of video imagery that may capture Susan in and around the areas noted above during the period 1.30pm and 10pm on Saturday, February 27.”
■ Anyone who has seen Ms Smith, or anyone who may have information that could help the search, is asked to contact DyfedPowys Police, quoting reference 285 of Saturday, February 27.
