British Museum in new BP sponsorship deal

THE British Museum has renewed its sponsorship deal with oil giant BP for another five years.

Environmental activists recently scaled the building in Bloomsbury to hang banners decrying BP’s sponsorship of an exhibition about ancient Egypt. Greenpeace accused the museum of accepting “a wad of oil cash”.
