Briton attacks police in ‘airport rage’

THIS is the moment an airline passenger shouting “I’m a Brit i sh c i t i z e n” a t t a c ke d G e r ma n p o l i c e officers after his flight was delayed.

The man knocked three of them — male and female officers — to the ground near the check-in gates at Frankfurt airport.

In f o o t a ge c a pt ure d by a not h e r traveller, he is heard shouting “I am a British citizen” before starting the fight when a woman believed to be travelling with him fell over during a confrontat­ion with security. A police spokesman said: “The attacker was an Englishman worried about his wife. She had circulator­y problems.”

About 7, 0 0 0 p a s s e n g e r s w e r e stranded at the airport on July 23 after bad weather forced night-time flights to be cancelled. “The mood among the passengers was certainly not the best,” an airport spokesman said. The video footage, uploaded by Polish rapper S c hwe s t a Ewa, a l s o sh ows a n g r y passengers jeering and whistling during the 38-year-old man’s outburst.

Police said they are investigat­ing “an alleged assault”.
