Croydon’s economy ‘is fastest-growing in UK’

CROYDON has the UK’s fastestgrowing economy after attracting huge numbers of tech companies, according to a report published today. The “Silicon Valley of south London” is now home to more than 1,000 digital, creative and technology firms. The report, by accountancy group UHY Hacker Young, said the borough topped a list of 173 areas in Britain after its “significant” regeneration in the past decade. Partner Colin Jones said: “It is no longer a joke that it is beginning to rival Shoreditch.”
