A lesson from our Olympic athletes
WE HAVE just enjoyed a very successful Olympics in Rio where many of our athletes performed beyond expectations. They deserve our praise, as do the family members who have helped and supported them from young ages.
Now that it is likely high standards can be maintained, I suggest that we look at focusing our attention on education. If a few hours each week improves physical skills, a similar number of hours of structured coaching or teaching will surely improve the understanding of science, languages, music or maths.
