Woodburn steps up to chief exec role at BAE

BAE Systems has named Charles Woodburn as chief executive to replace Ian King, who retires in June. Former oil executive Woodburn is the group’s chief operating officer, having joined last May. King has headed BAE, which recently won a

£1.3 billion Ministry of Defence submarine contract, since 2008 and spent 40 years in the defence industry.
