Three fined over RSA Irish accounts scandal

THE former finance chief of RSA’s Irish business, Rory O’Connor, has been fined £35,000 and banned as a chartered accountant for three years after an accounts scandal. O’Connor admitted misconduct following a Financial Reporting Council probe. He must also pay £18,000 in legal costs. Martin Ryan and Gerard Bradley, former actuaries at RSA Ireland, were fined £101,500 and £45,500 respective­ly.
