Rapist sent to prison for 1987 hotel attack
A MAN has been jailed for raping a girl at a Kensington hotel almost 30 years ago. Philip Gonsalves,
63, of Lewisham, was jailed for 15 years and will be a registered sex offender for life. He was found guilty at Woolwich crown court yesterday. Police investigated the rape, at a B&B in 1987, but nobody was charged. After a cold case review, Gonsalves was caught due to advances in DNA analysis.
