Volkswagen says it will buy back dodgy diesels

VOLKSWAGEN has agreed to buy back diesel cars equipped with illicit emission-control software after deciding not to appeal against a German court ruling backing calls for compensation. Despite the carmaker’s admission of wrongdoing in the US, it denies that it has not broken the law in Europe.
