A Like artisan coffee shops and specialist
bike stores, gentlemen’s barbers are sprouting up all over town — not just in Shoreditch. Ted’s Grooming Room and Murdock both have several shops of consistent quality, but I’ve combed London to see who else makes the grade: Joe and Co for contemporary cool; Pankhurst for high-end luxury; Tommy Guns for hipster edginess; Geo F Trumper for old-school refinement. However, for true decadence, pay a visit to the stunning and little-known
barbers within Dolce & Gabbana’s flagship menswear store at 53-55 New Bond Street, W1 (020 7495 9250). Dan is an editor at mrporter.com
