Schools in dance festival

TWO hundred children from nine primary schools in Loughborough, Syston and the surrounding villages will be taking part in an annual dance festival.

This year Jump2it!, supported by Team Charnwood, will take place at Loughborough Town Hall on Monday, March 27 at 7pm.

The dance festival is designed to develop children’s dance technique, build fitness and raise selfesteem in a non-competitive environment.

Children will showcase their dance talent and choreography skills around this year’s theme ‘Art’.

Moving Together, a Leicesterbased youth dance company, will also be performing as part of the event.

Louise Jaggard, organiser of the event said: “It’s only our fourth year of running Jump2it! and it’s already a very popular event for our local primary schools.

“We’re all so excited to be able to bring our amazing dance show to a professional theatre venue!”
