Pedal power for charity...

-

TWO FRIENDS are hoping pedal power will help them raise cash for two charities when they take part in the Prudential RideLondon 100 mile cycle ride this summer.

Alan Dalzell from Loughborough and Bryan Green who lives in Markfield, but works at Loughborough Hospital, are in training for the July 30 challenge and hope to raise £600 each for causes close to their heart.

As an ex-serviceman Alan is raising funds for the Royal British Legion, while Bryan is raising money for the Alzhei- mer’s Society as he lost both his mother-in-law and, more recently, his mum to Alzheimer’s.

To give the fund-raising a boost the men, with the help of their wives, have organised a jumble sale and raffle at Hathern Village Hall which will take place from 1.30pm on Saturday, April 1.

If you would like to help the pair with their efforts, they both have JustGiving pages: www. justgiving. com/ fundraising/ Alan- Dalzell and www.justgiving. com/fundraising/BryanGreen1
