Serenade on lookout for new faces
SHEPSHED’S women’s community choir Serenade raised more than £750 for charity at its festive concerts - and is now encouraging new members to join.
The group entertained a variety of audiences over the Christmas period including local nursing homes and shoppers at Carillon Court in Loughborough.
More than £750 was raised for Serenade’s chosen charities, Shepshed Toy Library and STEPS.
The group is now preparing for another tour of nursing homes in May, and a summer concert entitled Colours of Sound in July.
A spokesperson said: “We’re always happy to welcome new members so why not come along to Shepshed High School where we meet every Monday evening during term time at 7.30pm.
“It’s just £3 per session and this includes refreshments.
