Society exhibition

ONE HUNDRED and fifty years of the Loughborough Building Society is to be celebrated with an exhibition at Loughborough Library.

The latest exhibition by Loughborough Library Local Studies Volunteers opens on Thursday, April 6 and marks the significant anniversary.

Founded in 1867, Loughborough Building Society has provided financial support for the town and its people for an impressive 150 years.

The exhibition showcases the history of The Loughborough Building Society and the 12 visionary Loughborough businessmen who founded it.

It follows the changes that have been made over the years as a business and acknowledges the role it has in the town today which includes sponsorship for local events such as the Loogabarooga Festival and the Santa Fun Run.

The new exhibition opens to the public on Thursday, April 6 and continues throughout April and May.

Entry to the exhibition is free during normal library opening hours.
