Skittles evening

-

MEMBERS and guests of Sileby Photographic

Society gave themselves a night off from their normal weekly meetings when on Monday, 13th March they enjoyed an `away day’ in the form of a skittles evening held at a local hostelry.

The skittlers took their turn on the alley to prove or otherwise their throwing skills but, as has now become the norm, and despite careful concentration when taking aim, it seemed much easier to find the gap between the pins than to actually knock them down – some things just never change!

A tasty traditional faggots, peas and spud supper was served during the interval after which play resumed to complete the rounds. Individual scores were counted together with team scores and the highest achievers were Lorna Williams and Team C respectively.

A great night and lots of fun.

The next meeting will be held on Monday, March 27, when visiting guest photographer, Wayne Brittle, will present digital images under the title `Another Time, Another Place’.

Visitors and prospective new members are always welcome to attend the meetings which commence at 7.45pm for 8pm and are held at Sileby Community Centre. For further information, the Society’s website can be accessed on www.silebyps.org.uk
