-

AFTER last week’s games only one more league game is left to play in the winter 2016 season of the Loughborough and District Pubs and Clubs Darts League.

In Blue Ball Division One Dan Jones hit two maximums for the Navigation Tap Tappers as they beat the leaders Bottom Railway BA 6-3, and there were three maximums for second place Spot On MP from Tim Hardy, Mike Pepper and Leon Jarram in their 8-1 win against the Spot On Lads. The results mean that Spot On MP close the gap at the top of the division to 11 points. Blue Ball Lions replace the Three Nuns Left Footers in third place after the ‘Lions’ 6-3 win against the Royal Oak Shooters, and the ‘Left Footers’ heavy 8-1 defeat to Navigation Wagg’s Gang.

In Wanty’s Division Two, second place Arena Gladiators won the top of the table clash against the Royal Oak Bluemoon Foxes 6-3 to cut the ‘Foxes’ lead to six points going into the final game. Top Railway A consolidate third place with their 7-2 win over Crown Inn Glory, whilst their nearest rivals Spot On Guy ‘n’ Gals lost 5-4 to the Spot On LSU Longhorns.

In S H Cox Division Three, Spot On Dinosaurs are the first confirmed division winners following their 6-3 win over the Generous Briton LSU Lions. Shepshed Dynamo Gatecrashers beat the Blue Ball B by the same score and look favourite to take second place, although third place Three Crowns Barrow do have games in hand.

In Generous Briton Division Four, the Blacksmiths Blue Army beat the Windmill Wild Hearts 8-1 and are thirteen points clear of second place Hathern Club who beat Plough B 6-3. However the Hathern side have two games in hand to catch up the deficit providing they can arrange to play them before the league deadline of the 30th March.

In Navigation Division Five, leaders Peacock Feathers beat Tap and Clapper Redbridge Rovers 8-1, but they are only two points clear of the Spot On Rejects who beat the Generous Briton Luffs 7-2 and the ‘Rejects’ still have a game in hand. Third place Blue Ball CS won 5-4 against the Crown Jewels Barrow, and Matt Wyles hit his second maximum in as many weeks for Top Railway Dave’s A as they beat the Dewdrop 5-4.

Finally, in Jim Kidger Division Six, the Swan in the Rushes beat third place Generous Briton Team GB 7-2 to return to the top of the division, with the White Hart Stags who had their bye in second. The Peacock Boarders beat the Three Nuns Bad Habits 7-2 in a ‘Double-header’ to earn them sixteen points and make it a double win for the Peacock teams.
