Special edition of the Micra for music fans

- By Stewart Smith

FANS of music on the move are being given a treat by Nissan which has teamed up with hi-fi company BOSE to produce a special edition of the new Micra.

It’s called the Micra BOSE Personal Edition, is based on the range-topping Tekna grade, and comes with a number of extra features as standard. Just 3,000 examples will be available across Europe.

As the car’s name suggests, its specification has been created to celebrate Nissan’s collaboration with BOSE, its audio partner on the all-new Micra.

The car comes with the unique-to-Micra BOSE Personal sound system, with twin UltraNearfield speakers built into the driver’s seat head rest.

This innovative design, combined with BOSE signal processing, provides an 360 degree listening experience immersing the driver in sound.

The tone can also be personalised to suit the driver’s tastes with the help of the BOSE PersonalSpace Control feature built into the Micra’s audio settings.

The special is available in two colours – enigma black or gunmetal grey – and each is comes with ‘energy orange’ features fitted to the front and rear bumper, doors, door mirrors and 17-inch alloy wheels.

It also comes with full LED headlamps plus black and orange stickers on the roof and bonnet, plus BOSE Personal badging on the door pillars.

With Tekna trim the BOSE special has a high level of standard equipment including the NissanConnect infotainment system with DAB digital radio, satellite navigation and an arm rest between the front seats.

The BOSE special is available either with a 0.9-litre 90bhp three-cylinder downsized turbo petrol engine or a 1.5-litre 90bhp turbodiesel. It will go on sale this summer.

No price has yet been announced.
