Birds of spring spotted in town

-

BIRDWATCHERS will be interested to hear that some of the first spring birds have been spotted in Loughborough.

Keen twitcher Coun Roy Campsall popped into the Echo to say he had seen two swallows in Garendon Road, Loughborough, on Easter Sunday (April 16).

And Loughborough resident Alan Ryder contacted the Echo to say he spotted what he believes to be two swallows or swifts flying above Nanpantan Reservoir during the afternoon of Wednesday, April 19.

A photo was also submitted to the Echo on Thursday, April 20, by Kirsty Yeomans who snapped two house martins on a telephone line near Charnwood Waters.

Echo readers are invited to contact the Echo with their bird spottings and photos are welcome.
