Tree stump fire

A TREE stump in Shepshed is believed to have been set on fire by arsonists over the weekend.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service received a call just before 7.30pm on Saturday (April 22) alerting them to the blaze in Hallamford Road.

One fire engine from Shepshed Station was dispatched to the scene.

One tree stump and one square meter of grass and undergrowth was extinguished by the fire crew.
