THE Bradgate Park Trust is inviting visitors and groups to comment on a draft strategy that looks at the development of the charity that cares for Bradgate Park and Swithland Wood.

The draft Strategic Plan sets out the Trust’s five strategic priorities for the next 10 years and the way in which the charity will work to deliver them.

Peter Tyldesley, director of the Bradgate Park Trust said: “The Bradgate Park Trust was established in 1928 when Charles Bennion purchased Bradgate Park and gave it in trust to be managed as a public park.

“As the Trust prepares to celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2018, we have produced a new Strategic Plan, ‘A Vision for our Centenary’, to address the challenges that we face in the 21st century, some of which Charles Bennion could never have imagined.

“We are inviting stakeholders and groups involved in our work to offer comment.”

The strategy is being supported by a Transition Programme grant from by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The plan will be primarily an electronic document, with a small print run for use when working with potential funders and organisations.

It will also help the Trust in developing annual work plans and future projects.

The Trust are now inviting people to comment on the draft plan. A copy can be downloaded at: www.bradgatepark.org/have-your-say-on-our-new-strategic-plan

Comments on the strategy can be sent to: develop- ment@bradgatepark.org or to: Strategic Plan Consultation, Bradgate Park Trust, Estate Office, Bradgate Park, Newtown Linford, Leicester LE6 0HE.

All comments on this informal consultation must reach the Trust by the deadline of May 8.
