Thorpe Acre Cubs in 1958

A SCOUT LEADER at Thorpe Acre has came across what he believes to be the earliest possible photo of the group when he was searching through the old boxes at the scout hut.

Mr Graham Knight, 70, of Shepshed said that the photo was taken in 1958 and was the earliest photo he has ever seen of Thorpe Acre Cubs.

He said that the cub group used to meet at the old Thorpe Acre Primary School, and that the Thorpe Acre Scouts used to meet at the old Garendon School, he said that he remembers Mr Wilson was the scout leader at the time.
