THURSDAY, APRIL 27 A two hour drama workshop, in conjunctio­n with Charnwood Community Theatre, is to be held in the upstairs function room at The Organ Grinder, Woodgate, Loughborou­gh at 7.30pm. The workshop will be run by a profession­al director and is free of charge. It is designed to be an open introducti­on to theatre performanc­e, no prior experience required. Charnwood Meditation Group: an independen­t not-for-profit community group. Newcomers welcome. 7.30pm every Thursday at Charnwood Road Community Centre, Shepshed. SATURDAY, APRIL 29 Hall Orchard PTFA Food and Craft Fayre at Barrow Town Football Club, Barrow Road, Quorn. Noon-3pm. Funds will be put towards a teaching kitchen for the children at Hall Orchard School. Mini Folk Festival at The White Horse in Seagrave in aid of Rainbows Hospice. SUNDAY, APRIL 30 Alfresco Festival at Loughborou­gh’s the Orange Tree in aid of Loros. A day and night of live music, DJs, fresh BBQ food, charity tombola, outside rum bar, cocktails and drinks offers galore from 3pm until 1am. More informatio­n can be found on the Orange tree Loughborou­gh Facebook page. Community Associatio­n for the Hastings Ward Family Fun Day from 2pm-6pm. There will be a range activities for young people including bouncy castle, games, face painting, scouting skills, and sports activities such as golf and cricket. The event is at the Carillon Cricket Club, Moor Lane, Loughborou­gh. Entry is free, with food and activities at low prices.
