Queen’s Park to host church festival

-

THIS weekend Queen’s Park, Loughborough, is to host a festival to mark a decade since the start of a church partnership.

On Saturday, June 3, Alive in Loughborough, an event celebrating the 10th anniversary of Loughborough Churches Partnership, will be taking place in the beauty spot.

Kicking off at noon, the day will feature live music and guest speakers whose lives have been transformed by Jesus.

There will be activities on offer for children including face paint and a mini fairground.

And the day is also to feature: music, entertainment, inflatables, food stalls and much more.

Residents are also invited to pop into the ‘Loughborough Churches Partnership Marketplace’ to find out about all the different projects, groups and activities that are provided by the church in Loughborough.

There is estimated to be more than 130 projects to find out about.

For those wanting some space to think, pray and ask questions – there will be a chapel space for a time of prayer and reflection.

There will be volunteers available throughout the day to chat and connect with also.

Then, on Sunday, June 4 at 11am, there will be a Loughborough Churches Partnership United Service taking place in the park.

The aim is for everyone to join together as one church, united by a faith in Christ to worship together.

A spokesperson said: “We’re excited to have the Salvation Army Brass Band and Worship Teams from across the churches leading us in worship.”

“We’ll see you in the park at 11am for the start of the service.”

It is also suggested that attendees bring a picnic to eat together after the gathering from 1pm.
