Chance to explore a zoo at dusk with extended opening

-

VISITORS can enjoy dusk at Dudley Zoological Gardens as it extends its opening into the evening.

On Saturday, June 17, the zoo will be remaining open until 8pm (with last entry 6.30pm) and visitors will be able to enjoy additional animals talks and feeds, Go Wild! shows and watch a birds of prey display.

Visitors can unwind in the castle courtyard and enjoy on-site refreshments, ride a land train and chairlift, get up close to the Lemur Wood residents, stroll through Castle Creatures and feed pots of nectar to cheeky lorikeets.

Zoo manager Matt Lewis said: “This is a great opportunity for visitors to enjoy a few extra hours of fun at DZG and have more time to learn about the rarest animals in the world. Our late night opening also provides the chance for visitors to see some of our species who become more active during late afternoon, including our giant anteater, porcupines, tapirs and chimpanzees.”

The zoo is offering discounted admission for entry from 4pm, with adult tickets priced £8 and £4 per child, which need to be prebooked.

Alternatively tickets are available on the day from 4pm priced £10 per adult and £5 per child.

Full-paying visitors already on site are also welcome to stay for the extra opening.

You can pre-book your tickets by calling 01384 215313 or online at http://www.dudleyzoo.org.uk/product/dusk-at-dzg/.
