NAVIGATION Wagg’s Gang beat leaders Bottom Railway BA 5-4 to inflict their first defeat of the season in Blue Ball Division One of the Loughborou­gh and District Pubs and Clubs Darts League.

Dean Maxwell hit a maximum for the Three Nuns Left Footers as they beat second place Spot On MP 5-4, whilst a maximum for Dan Jones and two for Lyndon Hextall for the Navigation Tap Tappers in a 5-4 win against the Blue Ball Lions, move them ahead of Spot On into second place. The Royal Oak Shooters beat the Arena Gladiators 5-4 to conclude a week of close results that saw the top of the division narrow with only five points now separating the top four teams.

In Wanty’s Division Two, Daz Beasley hit a maximum for leaders Brush Club AW as they continued their unbeaten run with a 5-4 win against the Top Railway A. Eric Davis hit two maximums for Spot On Dinosaurs, his third and fourth of the season, as they whitewashe­d the Tap and Mallet CD to move up to second place, and Spot On Lads are up to third after their 6-3 win against the Spot On Guy ‘n’ Gals.

In S H Cox Division Three, Blacksmith­s Blue Army narrowly beat the Three Crowns Barrow in the top of the table clash and Jay Wood hit a maximum for the Three Nuns Exiles as they beat their fellow pub mates Three Nuns Albion 6-3. The results mean that the ‘Blue Army’ stay top but the ‘Exiles’ move ahead of the Three Crowns into second place.

In Generous Briton Division Four, leaders Spot On Rejects had their fifth straight win of the season as they beat the Peacock Feathers 5-4, and the Tap and Clapper remain second after their 5-4 win against Blue Ball B.

In Navigation Division Five, joint leaders Dewdrop Blues were well beaten 7-2 by the Windmill Wild Hearts to hand the initiative to the Swan in the Rushes Black Pearls who had a bye. The Tap and Clapper Bob Bradley’s won 6-3 against the Crown MA and are now up to third in the division.

Finally in Jim Kidger Division Six, the Swan in the Rushes Savvies equalled the highest winning margin of the night with their 9-0 win against the Three Nuns Bad Habits and Top Railway DUI’s go top after their 5-4 win against Shepshed Dynamo B&W, a game that saw Terry Danvers for Top Railway and Dave Unsworth for Dynamo B&W both hit maximums and Top Railway’s Matt Wyles a 108 finish to demonstrat­e the depth of talent across all six divisions.
