Dental team’s boost for Rainbows

-

A LOUGHBOROUGH dental team says it was “overwhelmed” by the generosity of its staff and patients, during its fund-raising efforts in support of Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People.

Colourful bins Bertie, Barry and Betty were delivered to the Dental Suite clinic on Park Road, where they were soon filled to the brim with unwanted toys, clothes and shoes, which will be resold from the hospice’s charity shops.

Dental Suite principal dentist Dr Raha Sepherara said: “We are dedicated to taking care of children’s health: not just as dentists but as parents, too.

“Rainbows fulfils an important need by offering advice, support and comfort to children and their parents when they are at their most vulnerable and we are delighted that so many staff members and patients helped the charity to raise as much money as possible by donating items.”

Gary Farnfield, Rainbows com- munity fund-raiser said: “We were delighted that Dental Suite took part in our Where’s it Bin? scheme and we thank everyone for looking after Betty, Bertie and Barry.

“We also want to thank everyone who donated unwanted items; their donations help to make a huge difference in raising the necessary funds needed for us to open our doors.”

Dental Suite’s fund-raising activities will continue for the next two weeks.
