Town art trail this weekend
AN ART trail in Loughborough is to see homes, gardens and studios open to the public to showcase the work of more than 20 artists.
On Saturday, June 24, and Sunday, June 25, from 11am-6pm, Art This Way is to take place on Forest Road and the surrounding roads.
Now in its fifth year, the free event is to see six homes, gardens and studios exhibit the work of a selection of artists.
Barbara Bagley, Barry Bulsara, Helen Rhodes and Olivier Leger are just a few of the artists who will have their work on display.
The event is an insight into what is made behind closed doors and shows what a creative town Loughborough is.
There will also be refreshments, homemade cakes and freshly made pizza from a wood-fired oven on offer at two of the venues.
Profits from the refreshments will be donated to Crohn’s and Colitis UK.
Last year’s event saw hundreds of people attend and more than £950 was raised for the charity.
