Painting demonstration

-

AN accomplished water colourist, who loves painting landscapes, is set to visit Loughborough next week to showcase his exceptional talent.

On Tuesday, June 27, Phil Biggs will be leading an evening proudly hosted by Charnwood Drawing and Painting Club.

The event is open to members and guests and will take place at Woodbrook Vale School, Loughborough, from 7pm-9pm.

Phil paints in a very traditional way that shuns gimmicks. He says his influences are Turner and the old masters.

Those who attend the event will see him demonstrate a unique painting style which uses light and atmosphere to recreate wonderful British landscapes.

A spokesperson from Charnwood Drawing and Painting Club told the Echo: “Even if you are a complete beginner don’t miss it!”

Anyone wishing to attend should contact David Chaplin, club chairman as soon as possible by calling 01509 230366.

Light refreshments and parking available.
