This was presented to her husband, Keith, by former long serving league secretary, Peter Brown.
A number of league certificates were also awarded for outstanding discipline throughout the season, with Paul Thacker, Secretary of Greenhill YCFC, receiving the overall award on behalf of his club.
Fair play awards were presented by the Deputy Mayor of Charnwood, Councillor Christine Harris, Mayoress, Cynthia Bradley Stevenson and Chairman of North West Leicestershire District Council, Coun Virge Richichi; the Premier Division award going to East Leake FC.
Secretary Mark Blake reported that the number of new applications to join the league was at a high level and that, subject to them meeting the league’s criteria, the 2017/18 season should start with an extremely healthy number of participating clubs and teams.
The chairman and officers were thanked by the president for their considerable efforts, on behalf of the League, to provide opportunities for local people to play football at a high, well organised level.
