The shield for the Best Showman’s Engine went to the Burrell ‘ Winston Churchill’ owned by Dr Alan Marchingto­n and family. Best Steam Tractor: ‘Queen Mary’ Garrett owned by David Bosworth, Brackley Gate. Best Steam Wagon: ‘Happy Jack’ Foden owned by Calder Bros Staffs. Best Steamrolle­r: Fowler ‘Pentland Queen’ owned by R Inman, Shire Oaks. Best Ploughing Engine: Single Fowler owned by Mike Hammond, Redhill. Best Steaming Exhibit: ‘Victorious’ Foster owned by Mr Hargrave Alford. Best Aveling and Porter: ‘Jenny’ Aveling and Porter owned by Mr A Baker. Best General Purpose Engine: ‘Fiery Elias’ Foster owned by Mrs Audrey Boston c/o Ian Creasey. Best Engine to Show Under Own Power: ‘Rhonda’ Aveling and Porter owned by Mr M Fuller and family. Best Miniature 4in and Over: Fowler Tiger Tractor owned by D. Bennion Newport, Shropshire. Best Miniature 3in and Under: Burrell Traction Engine owned by D Oliver, Keyworth.
