Loughborough BID app link-up

LOVE Loughborough BID has announced that it is partnering up with a new digital app to offer rewards for local businesses.

The BID is to pair up with app LoyalFree that was created by two former Loughborough students, Sophie Hainsworth, 27, and Jason Nesbitt, 28.

The Echo previously featured the launch of the app, but now they have partnered up with Love Loughborough to allow even more businesses to use it.

The app will attract residents, visitors and students to Loughborough town centre through business offers, rewards and incentives.

The BID told the Echo that although the Love Loughborough loyalty card had been successful it did have limitations on accessing information on who and where the offers are redeemed.

The loyalty card will still be available for customers, but they will be able to choose between using the app or the card in store across the town centre.

All Love Loughborough BID businesses will be offered one year’s free advertising and usage of the app and will also receive monthly reports on how effective their offers are and gain knowledge about their customers.

Love Loughborough businesses who sign up to the scheme will benefit from free advertising to over 1,000 locals on the app and promotion of their brand across social media. There will also be the option to run a ‘loyalty stamps’ offer at no extra cost.

They will receive custom analytics reports and click throughs to their website and social media platforms.

Businesses already on the Loyalty Card Scheme will automatically be upgraded to the digital app and will be contacted directly to ensure their offers and rewards are still active.

Lez Cope Newman, Chair of Love Loughborough BID said: “We are very excited about the new opportunities this will bring to Loughborough and the development of the businesses who operate here. We will also be first town who can offer a digital loyalty solution for market traders, enabling customers to redeem offers and discounts from traders of Loughborough’s awardwinning market”

Jason Nesbitt, LoyalFree said: “Customers today have access to an unlimited amount of information online making them less brand loyal in certain industries. But research shows they still actively respond to and desire being valued and rewarded. Bringing your loyalty programme into the mobile age ensures capturing, and keeping, your best customers.”
