Theatre company’s original production

AN ALTERNATIVE theatre company - started by a Shepshed woman who aims to inspire those facing disability - is to hit the stage with an original production this summer.

Last December, Action Adventure Theatre Productions put on a performance of Christmas Horror in Leicester - a unique piece which featured monsters associated with the festive season.

And, following a great response to the show, the company is putting on two original productions of ‘Murder at the Masquerade Ball’.

Action Adventure Theatre Productions specialises in interactive theatre and, unlike traditional shows, there is no stage, lots of improvisation and the audience becomes part of the production.

The group will be at Colwick Hall, Nottingham, on Monday, August 7, with the new show and at Quorn Manor Restaurant on Thursday, August 17.

The dark comedy features a cast of expert actors, exquisite dining and exceptional surroundings - it promises to be an experience you will never forget.

The theatre group aims to inspire and help people with various abilities and disabilities unite together to creating something diverse, distinctive and ‘awesome’.

The Echo spoke with Shepshed resident, and founder of the company, Natasha Mann-Harwood at the end of last year about the group she runs with business partner Jenny Gilbert.

Natasha told the Echo she was on a mission to get back into work after she was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome - a painful condition that affects the connective tissues - after a lorry was in collision with the back of her car.

She previously told the Echo: “I want to inspire people and to say if you really love something and you’re really passionate about it, you can live with the pain and do it.”
