Crimestoppers offering £2,000 reward to track down offender

-

CRIMESTOPPERS is offering a reward of up to £2,000 for information leading to the arrest of Robert Gilheaney who is known to have links to the Loughborough area, but is believed to be on the run in the West Midlands.

Gilheaney, aged 26, is wanted on recall to prison after failing to comply with the conditions of his licence following his release in December 2015.

He was serving an 82-month prison sentence for aggravated burglary in Nottinghamshire where he sprayed a person in the face with an ammonia-based fluid, leading to the victim suffering burns and partial blindness.

Gilheaney has an extensive history of offences including burglary, shoplifting and criminal damage. As a result, the charity Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £2,000 for his arrest.

Pauline Hadley, West Midlands regional manager, said: “Robert Gilheaney is a prolific and violent offender which is why we are offering a reward for information that leads to his arrest.

“We just want to know your information, not who you are. So please, contact us anonymously.”

If you have any information, please contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through its Anonymous Online Form.

*This reward will only qualify if information is passed to Crimestoppers’ 0800 555 111 number or anonymous online form. Information passed directly to police will not qualify.
