Put the gang yobs in boot camp - that would sort them out

AFTER reading the report in The

Loughborough Echo of gangs in Loughborough and the ever growing problem of gang, knife, gun, drug, acid attacks and other ever growing problems in the country surely time has come to start issuing real punishment to these offenders.

Soft touch punishment of community service, suspended sentence, a few months inside are not good enough any longer.

These youths have no respect for law abiding citizens or the law of this country and soft touch leftwingers banging their drum about Human Rights for this country have let this cancer grow and grow until it’s to late.

So I suggest that we lose this three strikes and your out rubbish. None of this sorry I made a mistake nonsense and then bragging about getting away with the crime on Facebook and along with repeat offenders given chance after chance.

Let’s set up Boot Camps in the middle of nowhere or on islands off Scotland. Let these camps be run by exservice men who can knock some respect into these lumps of waste of time.

No contact with family or friends, no phones, TV or radio in fact don’t even let them know where they are being punished.

Get them up at 5am and get them marching, scrubbing coal, peeling spuds and other meaningless tasks. Make them know this will happen if they offend again.

This would not cost much as they would not be needing a great deal. With no costs of phones, TVs, pool tables and the basic’s in food, beds, clothing etc.

If the smash they place up tough! They mess it up they live in it. Also if they did escape their sentence will be doubled.

If someone can think of some other way of punishing these louts I and others would love to hear it.
