Fantastic effort by Hind Leys pupils
HIND Leys College is said to, once again, have had a fantastic set of GCSE results.
Principal of Hind Leys College, Matthew Parrott said: “We are really pleased to be celebrating with our students as they collect a great set of exam results.
“Our students have been rewarded for all their hard work. Thanks and recognition must also go to the entire team of Hind Leys staff who have worked tirelessly to support our students and families along their GCSE journey.
“2017 represents yet another year of significant change in education and I am very proud of how both Hind Leys students and staff have responded.
“We are now busy confirming arrangements for the new Iveshead School Post 16 and we are very much looking forward to welcoming back our Year 11 as they continue their Post 16 studies with us”.
Once again Hind Leys is celebrating the progress and achievement of all of their students this year.
Some noteable highlights include: Annabel Potter who achieved three A*s, four As, two 8s and a grade 9 in Maths.
And Matthew Mann who secured four A*s, three grade As, a 7 and a 6.
Both of these students are excited to be returning to the new Iveshead School Post 16 where they will be embarking upon their A-Level studies.
Other excellent results were achieved by Receccah Williams, Caitlin Brentnall, Matthew Kingsbury and Solomon Unwin.
A number of students will be leaving the college to take up an apprenticeship.
DHL, Slack & Parr and a number of other local employers will all be benefitting from some excellent Hind Leys alumni next year.
Hind Leys College has merged with Shepshed High School and will reopen this week as Iveshead School.
A limited number of places are still available in the new Iveshead Post 16 as well as in other year groups.
