Parents’ tribute to their son

-

THE parents of the five-year-old who died after being shot in the head with an air gun pellet in Loughborough have paid tribute to their “beautiful” son.

Last week, dad Genadij Moroz, 32 and mum Viktorija, 40, of Leicester, said the family had been left “heartbroken” following the death of son Alexander.

The couple, who are originally from Lithuania, have two other sons.

Speaking from their home in Leicester, Genadij said: “Obviously it is a very hard time for us.

“The death is very recent, and as a family we are still trying to come to terms with what has happened.

“For my boys and for my wife, it is almost impossible.

“One minute he was here, and the next he was gone.

“He was on the organ donor list, and his organs could save six lives, so that is something for us to be proud of.

“I don’t want to speak about how it happened, and I don’t know a lot of the details about it.

“I would rather wait for the coroner to speak, and I know that the police are investigating too.

“Then we will know what has happened.

“He was a beautiful boy, he was like sunshine.

“We all loved him so much and will miss him very much.”

Viktorija said: “It is too difficult. I don’t want to speak about what has happened. “I am heartbroken.” By Henry Clare
