‘Crush’ injuries in car collision

A MAN was taken to hospital after suffering “crush” injuries in a traffic collision in Barrow-upon-Soar.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue services received a call at 4.37pm on Wednesday, September 6, to a road traffic collision in Nottingham Road, Barrow-upon-Soar.

A spokesperson from the fire service said that it was a collision between a van and a car, and that no persons were trapped.

One man was taken to hospital from the scene after suffering “crush injuries” according to the fire services.

Services said that one fire engine from Loughborough and one from East Leake attended the scene.
