Driver forced to evacuate coach on the A6
ALMOST 40 passengers had to vacate a coach last week after the driver smelt burning whilst driving near Quorn.
Firefighters were called to the A6 northbound on Friday (September 8) just after 6.30pm.
A pump from Loughborough Station and a pump from Birstall Station attended the scene.
Police were also in attendance.
Crews inspected the vehicle using a thermal image camera and a hose reel jet was used to cool the vehicle.
The 38 passengers were reported as safe and awaited collection by another coach.
