Duck race proves a suc­cess

WHAT a great time me duck! - The an­nual Roth­ley Duck Race was once again a big suc­cess, rais­ing more than £1,300 for a trio of char­i­ties.

Spon­sored by The Not­ting­ham build­ing so­ci­ety the ever pop­u­lar event - which takes place in Roth­ley Brook - at­tracted more than 200 peo­ple.

The char­i­ties rais­ing money were The Jake McCarthy Foun­da­tion, Alex’s Wish and The Tili­nanu Or­phan­age, the lat­ter of which also re­ceived a £50 bonus from The Not­ting­ham af­ter win­ning an ea­gerly com­peted duck race called The Robin Hood Chal­lenge which saw the three or­gan­i­sa­tions go bill-to-bill!
