Family fun day

RESIDENTS are invited to enjoy a family fun day at Charnwood Indoor Bowls Club on Saturday, September 30.

Entry is free and there will be a variety of fun bowling games to try, a licensed bar, food, trade stands, craft stalls and a bowls treasure hunt.

Wendy Coley, the club’s development officer, told the Echo: “Indoor bowls is a unique sport that can be learnt in minutes and is suitable for everyone regardless of age, sex or physical ability.

“At a time when everyone is being encouraged to get more active, and be healthier, indoor bowls is a sport that often gets overlooked.

“However, it is inexpensive to play and genuinely is suitable for all ages from nine to 99.”

The fun day runs from noon until 4pm. The club is situated in Browns Lane, Loughborough, on the left hand side of the leisure centre.
