George says goodbye to his long locks for charity
HAIR to day, gone tomorrow! A Loughborough resident has said goodbye to his long locks in the name of charity.
George White, known to his friends as “Jeff,” decided to
face the chop after a girl battling leukaemia told him he had nice hair.
The 30-year-old drainage engineer from Birstall, who currently lives in Cumberland Road, Loughborough, said on his online fundraising page: “Although I realised I couldn’t make a wig just for her, I could contribute my hair so that someone can have a wig.”
George decided to donate his hair to the Little Princess Trust - the charity that makes real hair wigs for children with poorly children. He is also raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
He has received backing from Mannequins Tattoo Studio, The White Hart and The Kore Store.
George says if he reaches £1,000 in donations he will ‘brave the shave’ and also lose his eyebrows. • To make a donation visit:
