Would have liked the chance to hear Jeremy Corbyn

- D J Pallett

SO LABOUR leader Jeremy Corbyn graced Loughborough on Friday night with the next leg of his UK tour of a celebration for coming second in an election.

When I found out Jeremy was coming to Loughborough I thought it was a chance for “we the people” to meet him and hear what he has to say. Well it was, that is if you were a fully paid up member of Labour party and had a invite.

I really thought people would have been given the chance to hear what had to say or is it that his appearances are staged and well managed like a Shakespearean play by his Momentum Spin Doctors?

It would have been wonderful to hear him promising the country a never ending list Christmas of goodies.

But as most of us who live in the real world know Christmas is very expensive that takes most of the population the following year to pay for it. And with Corbyn promising the world and more to gain votes it will take more than a year to pay to pay for it.

So it all boils down to another politician that is more image than substance. I always knew that Corbyn would never really turn up at a place where he could be challenged.
