CHARNWOOD Orchestra’s first concert of its 2017/18 season is to take place in Barrow-uponSoar this month.

The musicians will be at Holy Trinity Church on Saturday, September 23, at 7.30pm.

The orchestra will once again be conducted by Nic Fallowfiel­d, performing a celebratio­n of classical works including CPE Bach’s Symphony in D, Mozart’s Flute Concerto No1. (performed by Timothy Taylorson), Gluck’s Dance of the Furies and Dance of the Blessed Spirit and Schubert’s Symphony No.5. There will be an interval bar.

Tickets cost £13, £11 (concession­s) and £3 for accompanie­d children under 16. Tickets can be bought via Paypal from www. charnwoodo­rchestra.org.uk, at the Paper Shop in Barrow-uponSoar, or on the door.
