Festive dates for the diary

IT MAY be a little early to start thinking about putting the tree up, but Shepshed Lions Club is already making Christmas plans and has some dates for residents to pop in their diaries.

The club’s third annual Christmas Market in The Hallcroft, Shepshed, will take place on Sunday, December 17.

The event will start a little later this year, opening at 12.30pm until close.

There will be the usual festive stalls, school choirs, brass band, mulled wine, mince pies and of course, Santa’s Grotto.

There are still a few stalls available at a cost of £25. The club is looking for festive stalls, selling seasonal goodies, to take part in the market.

Santa will be at The Crown Hotel, Market Place, Shepshed on Saturday, December 16 in his grotto.

He would love to see as many children as possible and he will be there from noon until 6pm.
