LHS award pre­sen­ta­tion

STU­DENTS from Lough­bor­ough High School were pre­sented with awards for their aca­demic success and were treat to a special guest speech by for­mer stu­dent and award-win­ning mu­si­cal co­me­dian and ac­tress Rachel Par­ris.

Rachel left LHS in 2002, to study at Ox­ford Univer­sity and has since had success per­form­ing at the Ed­in­burgh Fringe fes­ti­val and has ap­peared in TV shows in­clud­ing the IT Crowd and BBC Three’s Mur­der in Suc­cessville.

Prizes were given to GCSE, AS and A Level stu­dents, from year 10 through to year 13.

Head­mistress, Mrs By­rom paid a special cute to for­mer head of food, Mrs Megan Reilly who taught at LHS for 33 years.
