RESIDENTS are being reminded to always secure their homes by:

• Switching on light timer devices

• Setting burglar alarms

• Locking all windows and doors

• Putting expensive items out of view

• Marking valuables with a postcode and house number

• Asking a neighbour to keep an eye on their home if they’re away

• And cutting up branded boxes for recycling and not leaving them on show by the bin.
