Thorpe Acre Scouts preparing for the 85th birthday

OCTOBER 7th is the actual 85th Birthday of Thorpe Acre Scouts so we are having a party.

Between 4pm and 8pm we will participate in fun Scouting activities, enjoy a Birthday Tea (with plenty of jelly and ice cream and, of cause, a big birthday cake) and finish off with a traditional Scout campfire. We have tried to spread the word to all former Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Leaders and supporters but if we have missed anyone we will be pleased to welcome you at the Scout Hut in Thorpe Acre Road.

It is also 25 years since I took a group of Scouts and Venture Scouts on a 22-day trip to USA. I have traced the current whearabouts of most of them but am still trying to track down Jono White who used to live at the Anchor Inn at Hathern where his father was landlord. If anyone can help in the search for Jono please contact me as I wish to organise a reunion.
