Half term fun in Charnwood

FROM horse riding to yoga, there are plenty of adventures to be had in Charnwood this halfterm.

Charnwood Borough Council’s holiday activity programme is back in October with a host of activities on offer.

The activities will run from Monday, October 16, to Friday, October 20, at locations across the borough including Sileby, Thurcaston and Loughborou­gh.

Julie Robinson, head of neighbourh­ood services, said: “Our activities are always well-attended and we hope that this half-term will be no exception.

“Yoga is back by popular demand and this time the whole family can take part in a session. We’ve also got a new football session in partnershi­p with Fusion Lifestyle, who run our leisure centres in the borough.

“We’re committed to helping children in Charnwood to stay active and healthy and these activi- ties are a fun and affordable way of doing that.”

Most of the activities are suitable for children of all ages and families are welcome to come and watch and take part in a number of events.

The activities will be available to book from Monday, October 2. Activities on offer include: • Yoga • Boxing • Geocaching and Cycling Geocaching - learning how to use GPS to find hidden objects • Horse riding lessons • Den Building • Football at Fusion The price of activities starts from £3, with Wild Card holders benefiting from great discounts.
