What’s so good about the town

WE ASKED Nicky Morgan if she could pick three things in Loughborough to show to a stranger what would it be?

The first place she would take them is Queen’s Park: “It’s just fabulous.

“This summer it was particularly fabulous.”

And then she said she would show them around the town centre: “I think we’ve got some great independent shops, and great places to spend a bit of time and money. All power to the Love Loughborough BID.”

Mrs Morgan added she hoped that the stranger’s visit would be in Loughborough on the weekend of the fair and Remembrance Sunday: “I think that this shows Loughborough at its best, the fair is fantastic.

“I think the stark contrast with the sombre Remembrance Day service that is so well done, and so well attended is great.

“I love when all the organisations lay wreaths because it shows just how many people want to be involved.”
